It’s been reported that the U.S.S. FIRM served as the RPS DAVAO DEL SUR until 1977. At that time it’s believed that she was returned to U.S. custody for disposal and on 8 July 1977 sold at a scrap sale to Ming Hing & Co, Kowloon, Hong Kong for $21,100.

All those who served aboard FIRM remember her has a gallant lady. As long as one former crew member is still breathing, she will longingly be remembered!
