NMSOA CHAPLAINS CORNER
Welcome to the Chaplain's Corner. PRAYER
Prayer is the most natural thing in the world to the true religious believers, yet also the hardest. It is a mark that we truly know God. After all, we can't claim to know someone we never speak to. Yet it is so easy to fake. We mouth a few syllables of "be with me and my shipmate family", and not really know what we are saying or why. Genuine prayer proceeds first from a sense of our needs, and next, from our faith in our God. We then realize that the bitterest and severest afflictions will become sweet to us, because they come from our God. Doug Gramp, NMSOA Chaplain

Statement of Purpose
| The Navy MSO Association is a group of former MSO Sailors that have a goal to preserve the memory of our beloved MSO's, all 101 of them, as a memorial to the men who served on any of those sweeps, anywhere in the world and in many foreign countries. We are dedicated to the Brotherhood of all past MSO Sailors as well as the education, focus, and the raising of awareness concerning the History of MSO's and their role in preserving and keeping the world's sea-lanes and harbors safe and free of mines.
